Local PGI Tournament Information - Nova Scotia
Tournament Date: June 25, 2008

Golfers take a break at hole 15 to test their team’s knowledge with the Canada Post Literacy Quiz.
The Nova Scotia PGI Golf Tournament for Literacy, begun in 1993, supports Literacy Nova Scotia, a not-for-profit organization serving adult learners across the province.
Literacy Nova Scotia:
- Maintains the LEARN Line, a call-in service, supported by advertisements in Yellow Pages™ directories, that provides information about local help for adults wanting to improve their reading, writing and math skills
- Provides information about literacy services in the province, supported by advertisements in Yellow Pages™ directories
- Distributes grants to literacy organizations
- Offers scholarships and bursaries to adult learners
- Distributes learning materials, computers and other learning technology to programs
- Promotes learning to adult learners.
